Name: Moody & Luna
Species: Eastern Screech Owl Megascops asio
Life History: Moody arrived at FKWBC in 2013 with a severely damaged left eye due to a vehicle collision. Due to the extent of his injury, the eye was removed and he now has limited depth-perception. Luna came to us a few years later in 2016 with left wing and leg fractures that have affected both her flight and perching capabilities. They are now best friends, with Moody greeting the public in presentations and Luna welcoming visitors through the door of her nest box.
